The Nico Restricted Egress Friction Hinge combines the features of standard restrictors and egress-only hinges. It protects against falling through windows in an initial restricted mode and then offers a quick escape route in the event of a fire in the egress position.

Supplied in matched pairs, the restricted egress hinge is fitted to the bottom of the sash with a matched unrestricted egress hinge fitted to the top. The single restrictor button is integral to the hinge and is designed to be less tempting to children, and the hinge automatically resets after closure from the egress position.
